View the MusicKeyRoll playing screen, keyboard, played key, and chord displays.

Main Play Screen

This is the screen where you play.
Play the notes as shown. play_1

  1. Go back to lesson page
  2. Replay
  3. Correct / Wrong hit count
  4. Time progress (since you started the first note)
  5. Reset to the beginning
  6. Pause
  7. Listen to the notes.
  8. The lesson information: Key range
  9. The lesson information: Key signature
  10. Metronome
  11. Note progress: How many notes are hit / total notes
  12. The main measures to practice
  13. Sound on/off button and volume level (controlled by MIDI volume)
  14. Guide line on/off (the green line from a note to the keyboard)
  15. Key hit information on/off This shows pitch/dynamics/speed information
  16. A green line showing pitch flow
  17. Pitch information
  18. Dynamics.
    Orange bar is the expected level. Green shows a good range. Red shows out-of-range values.
  19. Speed.
    The duration of the note played.
  20. Stars: how many notes were played correctly.

play_key

  1. If (?) is on, the guide line is shown from the note on the measure to the keyboard
  2. Drag this area to horizontally scroll the on-screen keyboard
  3. Green indicator showing which key was played
  4. The orange circle indicates middle C (C4)
  5. Toggle between full-width keyboard and one-octave keyboard
  6. Center the keyboard to C3
  7. Center the keyboard to C4
  8. Chord mode
  9. Stop playback

play_key_played When a key is played:

  1. If (?) is on, the guide line is shown from note on the measure to the keyboard
  2. The key is tinted green.

play_chord When keys are played:

  1. Information about which keys are played
    Note names (volume)
    If multiple keys are played, the chord is automatically detected.
  2. Played keys are shown in green, and indicators for the chord root and interval distances of each note are shown.
  3. To use the chord display, turn on the Chord mode.
